As a System Medical Director, Dr. Greiner derives his skills and experience from several large multi-year projects at North Memorial Health. He led the transition of the NMH Maple Grove hospitalist program from an affiliate to an employed group. He designed and implemented a Medical and Psychiatric observation unit at NMH Hospital. During the COVID pandemic he led the hospitalist system response culminating in a transition of the NMH Hospital hospitalist group from an affiliate to employed group, a 50+ FTE project that Dr. Greiner designed from the ground up, including pro-forma development, hiring, and clinical practice model development. Finally, through a detailed analysis of the utilization management program and its vendor relationship, he successfully demonstrated the value of a NMH physician advisor program, concluding in a fully implemented internal physician advisor program and UM system redesign.
